Located in Bala, Ontario, Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery are producers of cranberries, wine and cider!
In 1950, Orville Johnston bought land in Bala and began building Ontario’s second commercial cranberry farm, the first having been located in MacTier, Onatrio where he worked as teenager. By the mid 1950’s, it was Ontario’s only cranberry farm and stayed that way until the 1970’s. Cranberry growing has been a Johnston family tradition ever since, and at Muskoka Lakes they are dedicated to responsible growing practices for a sustainable future. They love where they live and are passionate about what they do – it’s that simple.
This family’s passion has extended to include the production of wines and ciders, and we can’t wait to discover that Muskoka taste at The Beer-lesque & Carniv-ale Show!
